You can move any attendee to the lobby, except for the presenter. The person with the presenter role cannot be moved to the lobby, even if not currently sharing.

Loyola Webassign

You can move any number of your meeting participants to the lobby. The total number of participants in the meeting and those in the lobby cannot exceed the capacity of your meeting plan. For example, for plans that allow 1,000 people, you can have 100 people in the lobby and 900 people in the meeting or 500 people in the lobby and 500 people in the meeting, and so on.

From the meeting controls, select Participants to open the Participants panel.

Right-click the participant name and then click Move to Lobby.

You'll see a notification in the Participants panel that these attendees are in the lobby.


When an attendee is moved to the lobby, they can't hear or see any of the content being shared or interact with anyone in the meeting, similar to being put on hold, until they are brought back into the meeting by the host.

When you're ready to let people back in from the lobby, click the notification, and choose who to admit.

Under Waiting to Join, do one of the following:

  • To admit individual people or video device users, select the check box next to their names and select Admit.

  • To admit everyone who's waiting, select the Signed In check box and select Admit.
